The customer initiated this project to construct a new facility after outgrowing its existing 30,000 SF building. The new 50,500-square-foot footprint includes 25,200 SF of 30-foot-high freezer storage and 18,000 SF of food processing space, significantly expanding both cold storage and production capacity.
As a long-time PermaTherm customer, the team entered the project with confidence in the product and partnership. While there were no major challenges identified at the outset, the introduction of PermaCore panels featuring tongue-and-groove joints and high-density insulation represented an exciting enhancement in performance and installation efficiency.
The PermaTherm Solution
The PermaTherm Solution
PermaTherm was selected based on years of successful collaboration and the proven performance of the PermaCore PHF43 4-inch and 6-inch panels. The Light Mesa, stucco-embossed 26-gauge galvanized panels in Polar White SMP were chosen to deliver durability, clean aesthetics, and thermal performance suitable for both freezer storage and food processing environments.
The installation process progressed smoothly overall. A small number of panels experienced delamination; however, they were replaced promptly and without issue, reinforcing confidence in both the product and the service support behind it.
Results/Outcome
Results/Outcome
At the time of project completion, refrigeration systems had not yet been commissioned, so performance metrics related to temperature control and energy efficiency are still forthcoming. However, the construction phase itself was marked by efficiency and strong coordination.
From estimation through ordering and delivery, the process was seamless. The project team described the experience as smooth and well-managed, reflecting the value of a long-standing partnership and a streamlined panel system that supports large-scale food processing and freezer applications.
It was a smooth process from estimation through ordering and shipping. We’ve used PermaTherm for years, and the addition of the PermaCore panels with tongue-and-groove joints and high-density insulation made this project an easy choice for us.
